Teaching Assistant

Salary Scale:  NJC Scale 2A

Part Time – 18 hours – Mon – wed 08:45 – 3:30pm – Fixed Term Contract 1:1 Support for EHCP Pupil

 

We are seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP. The successful candidate will have an appropriate qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above and the experience to support the child’s needs. Experience and knowledge of Downs Syndrome is desirable. It is also expected that candidate will have recent experience working in educational settings. There will be an expectation to complete paperwork, attend meetings and work closely with the child’s family. The successful applicant will be a flexible team player, committed to raising standards and meeting the needs of this child as they move across the school.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate high expectations in behaviour and attainment and always put children at the heart of their teaching. You will have  good knowledge of the National Curriculum, Values Based Education and be able to inspire and motivate others.
