Therapy Dog
We are delighted to have Chester, our therapy dog as part of our school community. Now working with children two days a week, Chester has quickly become a much-loved and calming presence around the school.
Time spent with Chester offers many benefits for children. His gentle and reassuring nature helps to reduce anxiety, support emotional wellbeing and create a sense of comfort and security. Children often find it easier to relax, regulate their emotions and talk about their feelings when Chester is nearby.
Chester also supports children in building confidence, developing empathy and improving social skills. For many pupils, spending time with him provides a positive focus, encourages engagement and helps them feel more settled and ready to learn.
We are incredibly proud to offer this additional support for our children and have already seen the positive impact Chester is having on their wellbeing and overall school experience.
